3rd Grade Field Trip Information
TIGERS FOR TOMORROW at UNTAMED MOUNTAIN
Parents,
Third grade will be traveling to Tigers for Tomorrow at Untamed Mountain
in Attalla for our first field trip on Tuesday, November 7th. Tigers
for Tomorrow is a Wild Animal Park and Rescue. The park has the largest collection of
predators in Alabama. The preserve
also hosts an animal contact (petting zoo) barnyard full of farm animals and is
home to many small mammals, reptiles and birds. During the tour, the students will be
learning about big cats, bears and wolves; our world’s APEX predators. The field trip will emphasize
community, conservation, and animal life cycles.
We will leave Ashville Elementary School no
later than 8:30am. We will travel
to Tigers for Tomorrow and begin our tour at approximately 9:30am.
The tour will last about 2 hours.
After the tour the children will divide and half will go to the gift shop
and half will go to the petting zoo where they will be allowed to feed the
animals a cup of food. (Then the
children will switch.) We will
have a picnic style lunch at the pavilion. We will leave around 1:00 to return to
school.
Students and adults are required
to wear sneakers or closed toed shoes. Students should not bring
electronics/cameras on this field trip.
Teachers, chaperones, and bus drivers are not responsible for lost/stolen
items including money.
The
absolute deadline for money for this trip will be . Please adhere to this deadline. We will not be able to accept money
past this date.

shop that students will be able to bring extra money the day of for.
They have a pretty good range of prices so a child should be able to
purchase something for under $10. Students will be responsible for this
